CC EAL4+ Certificate for MTCOS on P5CD081

Common Criteria EAL4+ Certificate for MTCOS V2.2 on NXP P5CD081 crypto controller. The German BSI (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik) also known as the Federal Office for Information Security, has issued new Common Criteria, EAL4+ high certificates for MTCOS STD & PRO - P5CD081.

The product certification is registered under the references BSI-DSZ-CC-0702-2011 and BSI-DSZ-CC-0703-2011. The evaluation and certification process is based on the latest BAC and EAC protection profiles PP-0055 & 0056 and CC Version 3.1 used in eID and ePassport applications.

The hardware used in this new product is the NXP P5CD081, a high security controller with crypto units, and has been certified in Germany according to Common Criteria EAL5+ high.

MTCOS V2.1/2.2 eID system on chip has Common Criteria certificates on 4 different semiconductor platforms and offers a unique independence for the end user. The support of multiple chip platforms provides many advantages for the system integrators and end customers, like easier procurement and better availability, also during fab allocations.
New features supported by MTCOS V2.2 are: AES cryptography, SAC/PACE, more eID services, and depending on the underlaying hardware, up to factor 3 better performance compared to our previous versions.

With Common Criteria products are evaluated using strict standards that validate the product's security, design process, development environment, functionality, vulnerability handling, testing and documentation.

To date MaskTech has obtained a Common Criteria certification for:

- MTCOS Std & Pro V2.0 on P5CD072 and ST19NR66

- MTCOS Std & Pro V2.1 on SLE66CLX800PE, P5CD080 and ST23YR80

- MTCOS Std & Pro V2.2 on P5CD081
